With the economy scaring the heck out of everyone, let"s jump on the saving-money-is-cool bandwagon. Gone are the days where you can flippantly spend your cash on DVD players and the coolest new gadget. People aren"t buying like they used to. Т  Years ago, before PDA"s, Bluetooth, and Ipods, we gave gifts of meaning, not monetary value. In this day"s economy we are finding the need to revert back to that way of gift giving. How many garage sales have I had where gifts I have received end up going out on a table for pennies on the dollar? Т  Chocolates have tickled the fancy of many-a-love-bird for years! Imagine the love of your life handing you a gift that didn"t set them back a cool hundred but was made especially for you. Т  You don"t need to be a chocolatier or have a passion for baking to do it! I have customers call me all the time who have never made chocolate candies before and have been very successful! Т  Beginners through advanced love making dipped strawberries, gourmet chocolate dipped caramel apples, dipped Oreo cookies or pecan turtles. Т  I"ll never forget the first time I attempted chocolate truffles. I finally felt brave enough to try it after a chocolatier told me how easy they are to make! I"ll never forget the look on my husbands face when he opened the package! He said "You MADE this??" He wondered if I had bought them at the local candy shop. I made them myself and it only cost me about 25 cents per truffle! Т  With saving money all the rage these days, impress your sweetheart with chocolate! Imagine how proud you feel when you can say "Yes! I made that!"
